Population of Central African Republic :

According to the World Bank, CAR had an estimated population of 5.846 million people as of february 2024, with a growth rate of 1.8%.

The majority of the population belongs to the Bayaka ethnic group, which is composed of several subgroups that speak different languages and dialects.

Other ethnic groups include the Banda, the Mandjia, the Sara, the Mbaka, and the Fula.

The official languages are French and Sango, but more than 80 other languages are spoken throughout the country.

The flag of CAR consists of four horizontal stripes of blue, white, green, and yellow, with a red vertical stripe in the center.

Currency of Central African Republic :

The currency of CAR is the Central African CFA franc (XAF), which is pegged to the euro at a fixed rate of 655.957 XAF per euro.

The CFA franc is also used by five other countries in the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC): Cameroon, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon.

The CFA franc was introduced in 1945, when CAR was still a French colony, and it stands for Communauté Financière d’Afrique (Financial Community of Africa).
